Allegiant to Begin Orlando Service from NN/W Airport

The Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport will announce this morning that Allegiant Air will begin serving the region.

The airport announced today’s press conference yesterday, saying only a “brand new airline to the region” would be introduced.

Allegiant’s website beat locals to the punch. This morning, the destination carrier was promoting a $ 64.99 one-way fare to Orlando. That fare bumps to $ 92.68 with taxes and fees. Flights begin Nov. 16, according to the Allegiant website. It was not immediately clear whether Allegiant would offer daily flights.

Allegiant is a low-cost carrier that is headquartered in Las Vegas.
