D.C. development getting dual-branded Canopy-Hyatt House hotel
News from Travel Weekly:
The Wharf, a mixed-use project in Washington, D.C., will include a dual-branded hotel housing a 175-room Canopy and a 238-room Hyatt House.
Canopy is Hilton’s new lifestyle brand. Hyatt House is Hyatt’s extended-stay brand. Both hotels are slated to open in fall 2017.
The building, to be built on the Potomac River by project developer Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, will include 30,000 square feet of ground-level retail and restaurant space, while the hotels will share 2,500 square feet of meeting space.
Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co. will manage the hotels.
The Wharf will also include a 275-room InterContinental hotel.
